Quote from a family history document written abt 1926 by his nephew Andreas Ronhovde: “He has farmed his mother’s farm, and has now purchased the 160 acres. He is an enterprising farmer, and is very likely to become a man of some means. He is treasurer for the church, and has served as clerk of the local school board. He is of small build, and is not strong physically. He has a sharp intellect, and with some education has become a successful farmer.”
